Quick troubleshooting
The bar isn't showing on my site
Check these in order:
- Trial or plan. If the 3-day free trial has ended without a paid plan, Lintel stops and visitors see no bar. Choose Pro or Lifetime from the Plans screen in the app; nothing you saved has been deleted.
- The message itself. Make sure the announcement is switched on and published, not a draft; that its schedule has started and not ended; and that its pages and devices include the page you're looking at.
- The whole bar. In Settings, check that Show the bar is on.
- The Editor. If you removed the bar in the Wix Editor, add the Lintel bar back from Add elements, then publish your site.
Overview lists anything that would stop a message from working, with a fix for each.
The bar sits in a different place in the Editor than on my live site
That's expected. On your live site the bar always sits at the top of the page, wherever its box sits in the Wix Editor. Moving the box in the Editor doesn't change where visitors see it.
I closed the bar and now I can't see it
When a visitor closes the bar, it stays closed for the number of days you chose in Settings (1 to 90). New or changed messages show again. To check your bar, open your site in a private window.
Get started in three steps
1. Install
Lintel adds the bar to your site's homepage for you. Open Lintel from your Wix dashboard.
2. Write
Choose Create announcement, or start from a template. Add a message, emoji, badge and button, then Publish.
3. Set when and where
Use Scheduling for dates, repeats and countdowns, and Target pages for the pages and devices it shows on.
Common questions
How do I show a message only on some pages?
Open Target pages, choose Specific pages, then pick from your real pages or use a quick pick like Shop page or Hide at checkout. Try a page shows what any page will display before you save.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. After deleting an announcement, choose Undo in the message that appears. You can also export all announcements to a JSON file at any time and import them later.
Two people edited at the same time
Lintel notices when settings were changed somewhere else and asks before saving, so nobody's work is overwritten.
Which languages are supported?
The dashboard is available in English, Spanish and French. Announcements show exactly as you write them, in any language.
Plans and billing
There is no free plan. Every new site gets a 3-day free trial with every feature, and no card is needed. If the trial ends without a paid plan, Lintel stops: visitors see no bar and changes are paused until you choose a plan. Nothing you saved is deleted.
Pro is $9.99 a month, or $95.88 a year ($7.99 a month billed yearly, save 20%). Lifetime is $199 once for one Wix site and includes every Pro feature, including future Pro features, for as long as Lintel is offered. Get Lifetime from the Plans screen in the app. Prices are in US dollars; Wix shows your local price and any tax at checkout and bills through Wix. Manage or cancel Pro from your Wix account under Billing and Payments. Wix processes purchases and refunds; for help with a plan, open a product question.
